National field manual

The source library

Follow a technical question back to the manufacturer, public authority or research source.

Read each source in its own context

Manufacturer documents describe their own systems and instructions. Public authority and conservation documents apply within their stated jurisdictions and project contexts. A U.S. construction standard is not a Canadian approval, and a general planting guide cannot diagnose an unseen property.

Check the current document for the actual product, lot, machine, place and work. Where a project requirement or condition is uncertain, take the source and your field records to the person responsible for reviewing that decision.

Sources are linked from the relevant chapters as well as collected here. The source list supports reading and verification; inclusion does not imply affiliation, endorsement or a dealership relationship.
